High-purity liquid propylene is essential in semiconductor manufacturing, especially in the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) processes. It also plays a critical role in plasma etching and cleaning applications. High-purity propylene minimizes contamination, ensuring the precision and reliability required for producing high-quality electronic components.

Applications include:

• Plasma Etching & Cleaning: The material undergoes chemical reactions that allow precise etching of the semiconductor layers to form the circuits. High-purity propylene is crucial for reducing impurities in the etching process, which can lead to defects in the final semiconductor products.
• Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD): In advanced semiconductor processes, thin carbon films or carbon-based layers can be deposited on wafers to serve as hard masks during pattern transfer steps. High-purity propylene can be used as a precursor gas for depositing these films through CVD techniques, which require materials of extremely high purity to avoid contamination and ensure high-performance results.
