Bill Auriemma Receives Lifetime Achievement Award from Industry Trade Association
Diversified CPC International (DCPC) President and CEO Bill Auriemma was selected to receive the prestigious Charles E. Allderdice Jr. Memorial Award by the Household and Commercial Products Association (HCPA) at their 2018 XPAND Annual Meeting. The award, named after a respected former HCPA president, is presented each year to the individual who has made exceptional contributions to the advancement of the household and commercial products industry. HCPA is the premier trade association representing companies that manufacture and sell $180 billion annually of products used for cleaning, protecting, maintaining, and disinfecting homes and commercial environments.
Mr. Auriemma began his career in the aerosol industry in 1977 as a sales representative for the National Can Company. He joined DCPC in 1980 and served the company in several roles before becoming President and CEO. During that period, he served on the board of numerous industry organizations, including Chairman of the Consumer Aerosol Products Council, President of the National Aerosol Association, and twice as Chairman of the HCPA Board of Directors.
Mr. Auriemma holds a Bachelor of Communication Arts from St. Norbert College and is a graduate of the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He also previously served as Chairman of the St. Norbert College Board of Trustees.
“Bill’s humility, integrity, and commitment to excellence are unparalleled,” said HCPA President and CEO Steve Caldeira. “As a long-time volunteer leader of HCPA, Bill has been instrumental in escalating the association’s advocacy footprint at all levels of government. His selflessness in serving HCPA speaks to his tireless dedication to advance and strengthen the household and commercial products industry. Bill is the quintessential professional in every sense of the word.”
“I would like to thank the board, administration, and membership of the HCPA for this outstanding recognition,” Auriemma said. “I am honored and humbled to have had the opportunity to work with the entire HCPA team to help make a positive impact on the future of the various industries that you represent. Moving forward, I am confident the association will remain a flexible, entrepreneurial, and innovative organization that will vigorously fight for sound science and laws that encourage a common-sense business environment, product innovation that enables job growth, and safe environments for consumers and workers.”
