Channahon, Ill. – Diversified CPC International, an industry leader in the production and distribution of high-purity propellants, hydrocarbon refrigerants, and specialty gas products, received a 2024 Product Stewardship Award from BNSF Railway Company (BNSF) for the safe transportation of hazardous materials by rail.
Diversified CPC was one of 109 customers to receive the annual award. To qualify, BNSF customers must have a minimum of loaded tank cars of hazardous materials with zero non-accident releases during last year’s full transportation cycle. Additionally, they must uphold the ethics of Product Stewardship under the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care® initiative.
“We are honored to be recognized for our dedication to safe rail transportation,” said David Burks, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Diversified CPC. “Rail is a critical component of our supply chain as it helps ensure our customers receive products safely and efficiently. We are proud to partner with BNSF who, like us, prioritizes safety.”
Implemented in 1997, The BNSF Stewardship Award recognizes shippers who transport a minimum of 500 loaded tank cars of hazardous materials during the previous year and record zero non-accidental releases.
